For those following this prior to SAS, I will be out of touch from June 8 to July 8. I am visiting my relatives in Ireland, then good friends in Germany. I will then take a train to Chamonix and begin a 2 week hike from Mont Blanc to the Matterhorn. It is called the Haute Route and has come grueling days (three with over 5000' climb in elevation). But I have been hiking in the canyon and getting into good shape. The last few years I have hiked the John Muir Trail and the High Sierra Trails (in my beloved Sierra) all with my artificial right knee. I may not be as fast as I used to be, but I am persistent.
